The 2017 edition of the Air Show was held September 9, 2017, and was a huge success, featuring headlining aircraft including the U.S. Navy F-18 Super Hornet Demo Team, MiG Fury Fighters, F-35 Lightning II from 388th Fighter Wing out of Hill Air Force Base, the GoPro “Bomb Squad” Demo jump team, and many more.
While dates for 2018 have not yet been set, check back on this page as we will update forthcoming information. The Air Show is a combination of flyovers and static displays, so you see the aircraft in action, but also can get up close and personal with the machines.
Over the past eight years, the event has lured aviators and thousands of visitors to Historic Wendover Airbase for a day of static displays, plus exciting formation flying and aerobatic demonstrations. The fly in and air show ultimately celebrates aviation and man’s advancements in flight. Tours of the airbase are usually given as well, and the on-site Wendover Airbase Museum is open.
How to get there: From I-80, exit onto Wendover Blvd. On the Utah side, turn south onto First Street (100 East) and proceed south for one-quarter mile to the airport property at 345 S. Airport Apron. Parking will be available on-site. For more information call (435) 665-2308.
